taking her for socsci 13 rn and i think its her first sem teaching. for context, our class with her is from 6:30-8 pm so our experience might be different from other classes her quizzes are 5-point T/F questions, which are based on the readings she assigns. her readings can be pretty lengthy tho and it feels a bit dragging to read (as someone who doesn’t like readings hehehehe). she grades pretty high naman, and provides GREAT feedback for your reqs. she’s also responsive online and is lenient with deadlines. imo, her workload feels so pretty heavy 😭 her essay outputs r split into different portions (outline, initial draft, peer review, final draft) and while that’s pretty streamlined, her workload piles up esp if you have a lot of classes during the sem. she’s articulate and knows what she teaches during lectures but we have a hard time paying attention to her bc gabi na, not to mention 3 hours vacant namin before her class. she also makes us submit weekly reflection cards on an index card so to me thats one constant thing to do in her class. Hi! I am currently taking Maam Ana for SocSc 13. She is a new prof this year! The workload is doable, we had the ff: • short quizzes on the readings (always announced) • thought leadership article on any economic, social or environmental problem related to the lectures • reflection cards - with a prompt • 2 NSTP outputs • final reflection I genuinely enjoyed her class this sem! She is so passionate about the topics we discuss, making her lectures very insightful and interesting. Before the class, she encourages us to read the material but she will discuss it in detail after. She is also very open and approachable, so if you have questions or need any consultations, she is happy to help you and accommodate your other requests. Grading wise, she gives comments on the outputs to help you in the final draft :> As for the quizzes, they are objective type and you really have to READ. A - B+ with effort!more

agree on this Honestly the best prof and one of my favorites for this semester — she exudes professionalism and it's evident she's had years of experience in her field. I'm currently taking her as well for SocSc13. Even though I won't recommend a 6:30-8pm class, she teaches passionately and goes straight to the point so kahit nagrorot na brain ko at that period of time she makes it easy to understand the lessons. The workload is very doable and she's very understanding as well when the class raises concerns about deadline extensions. She invites guest speakers to deepen the topics as well. I'd say she's B+/A-able! She's an approachable and open-minded professor, vouching for her so muchh ♡more

Get her! I have her for SocSc13 rn, and she makes the 8AM sched worth it. Mam Ana goes above and beyond for her students. She even checks our drafts before we submit them to be graded. She gives great and substantial feedback, and is always open for consultations. Mam Ana is so approachable and nice. You can see that she prepares for her lectures beforehand and designs activities to engage us. Her quizzes are usually T/F (5 points). Her readings are quite long, but she discusses them thoroughly during lectures. Get her if you can because she really makes learning worth it!more

Can’t comment on SocSc specifically (took Humanitarian Action) but I LOVE HER! She’s so well-spoken, passionate, and really inspires you to care about the subject matter. Her comments are fair and help you improve on your next submissions. A-able as long as you show that you’re passionate about what you’re discussing!more

It's her first time teaching the class. The one who used to teach it (Sir Ninoy Balgos) is going away. I attended her talk last semester for another class and she seems very knowledgeable naman ! If I'm not mistaken she just finished her master's, and she now works for UN IOM!more
