Hi! Had Sir Clark for both 31.1 and 31.3! He’s a super great prof, he made calculus digestible and understandable for me because he teaches in a very straightforward and structured way. He’s also super kind with answering questions, I didn’t feel bad whenever I asked him questions that might sound dumb, which I really appreciated! One of the best Math profs I had :DD Classroom-behavior - Make sure to follow basic classroom behavior/etiquette such as to listen attentively to class, don’t use your phones, use gadgets only when you’re taking notes, don’t make any disruptive noise, don’t just talk with your classmates during class, etc. Activity and grades - He grades fair, you get what you deserve! He gives you surprise quizzes which you’ll eventually thank because it builds a good studying habit bc you don’t know when you’ll get a quiz. You’ll get a quiz usually through when a lesson or subsection from a lesson.more

he's a very thorough professor, one of the best ive ever come across esp for calc! he saved me in 31.1 im not gonna lie! and you might be inclined to be intimidated by him at times because he can come off as very stoic in the classroom? but really i think he just holds his students to a standard of behavior while in class (i.e. don't be on your phone, don't make disruptive noise in class). don't be afraid to ask ' stupid questions' either because he's super kind about that!! + if youre struggling in class don't be afraid to book a 1on1 consultation with him - i did this in .1 because i had a really hard time mastering the basics of calc and he was sooo kind like he really is a joy to speak to! i don't think he curves but i think he gives consideration dep on ur circumstancesmore

Had both for calculus (though not 31.3), and both are great at teaching and very approachable. I’d say Sir Reggie is slightly harder since he has much more reqs and is stricter in grading, but he will force you to be more rigorous. Sir Clark should be much more beginner-friendly as long as you pay attention in class, and I think he’s more considerate in grading too. Both profs will push you to drilling the textbook, since Sir Clark uses it for his quizzes and Sir Reggie uses it for graded recitations. Overall, Sir Clark might be more beginner-friendly, while Sir Reggie is much more rigorous. Both are great and they can teach you well enough to get the A, but 31.3 is hard (especially series), so you have to put in a lot of effort yourself. Good luck!more

took go for another calc very good at teaching and willing to breakdown concepts for you if you’re confused. knew nothing abt calc and he made it super digestible, his quizzes & LTs could get confusing but are doable, kinda generous with partial points but he’s easy to communicate with himmore

took 31.4 under sir clark and i honestly enjoyed and learned from his lectures. he may seem a bit "strict" or uptight but he's actually a pretty chill prof. quizzes are unannounced but usually every after a lesson just expect there's one. its usually js one item around 10-15 points and difficulty is sakto lang or a just a bit more challenging than what he teaches in class (make sure to use the book to practice and study). he grades fairly and id say hes a great prof overallmore

took him for 31.3! dont talk in class or use ur gadgets. he’s a fair grader naman. feel free to ask questions rin. for us we also had surprise quizzes which weren’t that bad compared to the other profs. for the departmentals tho, i felt underprepared since the class examples were kind of basic. i had a false sense of security since i understood class examples and what was taught langmore

CLARK GOAT! Teaches the topics well, very thoroughly. Provides examples and explanations as to why they’re done that way. Before classes end, he usually gives you practice exercises from the book that he kinda expects you to answer by the next class (answer those as it would defo help you in his quizzes). He puts you in an environment where you feel like there is a need to study or practice, and honestly that’s what you need for 31.3. Kind of strict (pls don’t make noise in his class 😂) but that’s alright. He also has surprise quizzes so just expect that to happen every once in a while. Let’s start with a motivashuhnmore

Took Sir Clark for MATH 30.23. Lectures were straightforward, and digestible. He made Calculus digestible rather than it being intimidating and overwhelming. His quizzes for us were sometimes surprise or announced. Either way, as long as you practice the topics, you should be good. Sir is also open for consultations. So if you are having a hard time with the subject, you can set a consultation with him. You’re in good hands,!more
