One tip I wanna give for most of the faith narratives: I kinda just trauma dumped ngl lol. Ma’am said that she wants to see you understand how you apply/can apply the lesson to your own experiences. She also said to be a bit vulnerable with her. Since it’s a narrative, I really just yap about myself, and she likes when you engage with the readings in your FN. Her quizzes are on 1/2 pad paper crosswise, max 6 lines (not a fan of since handwriting can vary) but I barely hit 7 lines in two quizzes and she didn’t deduct me fortunately. Quizzes were pretty easy imo, as long as you do take extensive notes and read over them before the quiz. For the midterm paper, I just referred a lot of stuff I wrote from my notes in class. Again, engage with the readings, and I also used the Bible a lot in my paper. Class participation is not graded. She does ask questions to the class tho, and I only participated in class like twice. She did call me out once to ask what I was thinking 🫪 I will say she doesn’t give much feedback (maybe unless you the point). I got a B+ on the 1st FN paper and she didn’t give me any comments, so you have to ask her yourself what you could’ve done to improve.more

I agree! In her faith narratives make sure to reflect deeply on how the lessons apply to your life. She's not looking at how much you've memorized from the lesson (except for the quizzes, which are also not that difficult), but rather if you're able to make connections and engage with it. All the lessons point back to one central message and theme so as long as you actively listen in class, she is definitely A able! It may be hard to understand what type of reflection she wants from you at first but with time you will definitely get the hang of it! Super agree with the consultation thing as well, it really helps to schedule one for any of the major passes. Also, everything in her class (except for the long faith narratives) are handwritten so make sure to buy a 1/2 crosswise intermediate pad! Just remember: Shalommore

She makes more sense when she uses business analogies. She should have stuck to being an accounting teacher, which she also is. She has a tendency to be biased, and if she doesn't like you she doesn't give very good constructive criticism. She also likes to give 0's so be aware of that as well. She likes to use students as examples, not sure if she means well but it doesn't usually come off like that. Run habang kaya mo pa. Pretty sure she prefers Chinese students/students that come from Chinese schools (but she doesn't say that). There is a post though asking about her on profs to pick as well where her husband said that she's like how she's the ideal Chinese mom or something..Will attach a screenshot. She seems to be a hit or miss teacher tho supposedly she's been nicer but idk! Goodluck and shalom lolmore

No laptops, take extensive notes

she doesnt allow laptops or digital notes in class, so make sure u have a dedicated notebook or something for her. speaking of notes, make sure to take EXTENSIVE notes for her class, especially when you get to shalom. her tests aren't difficult as long as you understand the material and at least try and actively engage with it. she's also vv good with consultations and stuff like that, don't be afraid to ask her questions. all in all she's my goat, shout out ma'am lish.more
