the goat!!! you're in good hands :)) great at teaching + fair grading. you'll feel you worked for your grade without having to spend an inhumane amount of time for his class. only 4 requirements though so do well in all of them!more

sir lolek pugeda for theo 11 was nice as long as you listen and take note of everything he says! he doesnt send out ppts but he definitely knows what he's teaching. he's pretty funny too and approachable. i did pretty badly in my first orals and he was so helpful. he only had 4 assessments though so mahirap bumawi if you fail any assessment. i had to perfect all the other assessments to bawi how badly i did during my 1st orals. overall i think you can get A-B+ with great effort.more

Sir Brian's really chill. A lot of asynchronous sessions na he dedicates for you to write your essay so no excuses if you don't get to pass your work. He is always open for consultations regarding your essay tho! A-able with average effort as long as your output is good naman.more

Here to rave din about sir lolek!!!! Very smooth running class there’s like 3 reqs for the whole sem. Big ticket reqs so prepare for them well pero 2/3 were group reqs and the 1/3 is an oral exam which you can study for in a group so imo kayang kaya. The sem ended about a month early halos and I actually learned a lot. Great theo prof even for non catholic people kasi he’s really objective when teaching and isn’t going to give you a hard time even if you don’t agree with him. His lectures are also pretty easy to follow and not too heavy on the brain. 10/10 saya would enlist again it’s very A/B able imo.more

Melissa Santos Yes we did! Personally, I loved the orals coz it’s very philosophical like it encourages critical synthesis of the learnings from the course. The questions were also relatively easy coz they are structured based on Sir’s discussions na hehe.more

had sir pugeda for theo (but call him sir lolek) and his classes are really nice. he brings this nice energy to his lectures, albeit they're super packed w/info. he also doesn't post slides, pero you can use gadgets nmn which is a plus. workload din is super doable, pero you have to make sure to do well on them ksi there aren't as many opportunities to pull them up if you flake. overall though, really solid class and super passable.more

MY GOAT. 🤍 adding on all the comments on him here, he’s just THAT good. his classes are very engaging, and words cannot even describe how i look forward to going to his lessons. he genuinely loves teaching, and genuinely cares about his students’ growth. you can tell he puts sm effort in making sure everyone understands as well. easily one of the best professors i’ve had this sem. one advice i would give you though is to read the readings religiously before every class (he likes it when you recite, and it was fortunately something i was able to do a lot 😋) — and prepare a lot for his requirements because there are only 4.more

super good with his discussions and super approachable! make sure to take note of everything he says lang talaga :) he was really good at explaining history and the way he organized his lectures made it easier to understand everything as a whole. however, he had 4 requirements lang so it's pretty hard to bawi when you get a low score. we had 2 orals, 1 group presentation, and the final faith narrative.more

as other comments have said: sir lolek (PUGEDA, Teofilo) is quite literally THE GOAT! i've never cut theo 11 in the whole semester just because he was so engaging and a great start to a monday morning... and also his lessons are so jampacked! but he bases most of them off of the readings which as mentioned r super important for orals. just 4 assessments but they're very important in determining your grade! B+ to A-able with effort! honest advice would be to just do your best and familiarize yourself with the concepts!more

sir lolek pugeda 🔛🔝 he is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about the course matter, so i was never bored in his class! very engaging and also very funny lol u'll learn sooo much from him! he's also very friendly and approachable! i remember messing up my orals rlly badly but he was very encouraging and supportive so i didn't feel terrible afterward lmao DO put effort in his assessments, especially the oral exams. he only has four (2 orals, 1 group presentation, and 1 reflection paper) so each one is worth a huge chunk of your grade. also, when i took his class, the HPS of the assessments were quite low (/20 or /30), so even -2 points can cost a lot 🥹 but nevertheless, his class was one of the few i never cut 😅 i didn't get a good grade in his class but i don't rlly care because i learned so much and had a lot of fun!more

vouch for sir lolek!! lessons r very well paced, hindi siya overwhelming! coming from a traumatic theo 11 AHHSNDJJS his class was rlly a breath of fresh air, v chill and light, we only had 3 reqs the whole sem tapos he would give us time pa to do them!! imo v a-able as long as u study others commented na details abt the class so all i can say is if u get him u won’t regret itmore

took him for theo 13 last sem onsite he is a pretty chill guy his lectures are easy to digest and he tries to make jokes in class naman. He sends ppts and moves deadlines for assessments. He only has 3 assessments (reflection paper, orals, final paper). All 3 are short and concise (plus some are by pair/trio). Overall A ablemore

Hi! I was in Sir Pugeda’s class for THEO 11 and took over beadle duties as well 🤓 I’ll run through his 1) workload, 2) synchronous sessions and, 3) overall handling of the class 🤧 📌 The workload is heavy (for THEO 11 at least). He gives around 2-3 readings per week which average 10-15 pages long and are super heavy on philosophical and theological stuff (but nothing impossible to understand 😇). Most of his assessments are output based i.e. lots and lots of writing, so quizzes aren’t really something you should worry about. On that note, Sir is extremely particular when it comes to instructions so follow them exactly as he says (if that means citing every single one of your readings, you have to cite every single one 💀). He likes brief and straight-to-the-point writing (which is a pain because he sets his word counts from 800-1000) and he isn’t too particular with how well you write. 📌 Sir will hold a synchronous session once at the end of every week to talk about all the readings so make sure to be familiar with them before going to his class because he does call people at random for recitation ☠️ 📌 Sir is extremely organized when it comes to scheduling things and very responsive to questions and consultations so you’ll never be lost in his class. He likes to hold breakout room sessions every time there’s a synchronous class too. He’s very passionate about what he teaches (nerding out and all 👨‍🏫) and he really knows what he’s talking about so I’m pretty sure you’ll end the sem learning something from his class.
