Chill prof, manageable workload, tricky tests, never replies to emails
med micro isnt always offered so i havent taken that, but ive had him for a jillion other classes so im writing based on that. he’s a really chill prof and chill person actually. he had reasonable workload for us for lecture and laboratory. tho i think med micro is only lecture. anyway, it’s a manageable workload. his tests are really tricky. like one time on an online all essay exam, the question was structured as “which of the following events is occurring, A, B or C, and explain why”and it took me a ton of reading and research and like 5 hours to figure out that the answer was none. stuff like that omggg im not sure if his assessments are going to be the same for med micro but im just giving you a fair bit of warning on that. what is consistent about him though over the years is that he NEVER REPLIES TO EMAILS! this is perhaps my only issue with sir. he will open your email and kinda forget that he has to reply to it. and not even that gmail reminder that ups unreplied to emails is enough to make him budge. so if you want to contact him and he hasn’t replied, don’t wait around and think like “ah maybe he’ll get back to me when he has time he’s probably just figuring out his sched.” NO. follow up 3 or 4 times. by the 5th email he’ll understand that he has to reply na talaga. anyway is he A-ble? yes but with effort. like once i figured out his style, i managed to ace his courses. i did work hard for it tho.more

Super chill prof. Sometimes too chill for me hehe. So he doesn’t always reply to emails right away if at all. So if you have questions you really gotta bug him after class. But that’s the good thing about him, he’s very helpful. Also worth noting that he just became the president of the Philippine Academy of Microbiology so idk he might be less available. You’ll be fine though! And remember to sit in front so you can hear himmore

Great prof!!!! He will really help u practice for the exams and his exams are very doable. His lab exercises are very straightforward and useful for med and researchmore
