Chill but too chill, malabo grading, still A-able

Sir Lopez was a chill prof but it felt na he was too chill ???sometimes 😭 as in there isn’t much flow to his lessons so you can’t really expect what’ll happen next… he doesn’t really give much guidelines for how he grades so it’s hard to tell what he expects of you…in some of our quizzes we’d answer similarly but one would get it right and the other no so ayun medyo malabo yung standards niya and his grading system i was able to get an A in his class though. as long as you submit requirements on time, read the assigned readings and put in the effort in your creative outputs, i’d say it’s A-able (also it might not be the same now but when we took him, participation/recitation was a HUGE chunk of our grade siguro more than 15%…it’s not rlly a graded recitation but more like just being able to share smth to the class bc he wants class to be like a group discussion rather than just a lecture where he talks and we listen)more

Manageable Fili 12, quizzes after readings

I had him for Fili 12 1st sem this AY he is a really great prof ✅ His workload is manageable: - he would ask you to read some pages in ‘Pasakalye’ as a homework then give a short quiz next meeting that is around 10-15 items (mostly identification then some are sentence type) - we had pair works wherein we were assigned a specific text/s then we made a presentation about it (iirc we also had a short quiz after each presentation/s ) + we also made a research paper as our final paper regarding the latter - he encourages participation in his class so as much as possible recite and take notes while he’s discussing Sir uses Taglish when discussing plus he is willing to translate some words you cannot understand. Also, he was not that strict with grammar (I made some errors before, but he only corrected it and did not give me deductions). Overall, he is A-able with effort!more
