copypasting from another review: Hi! Took Ms. Santos for CHEM 51.22 (Biochem Lab) and it was her first year of teaching, so most of my review will be applicable for lab, but can be helpful as well since your course is a lecture course. Funny thing, first day of classes, we actually thought she was our classmate 😭, but turns out she'll be our prof too. Lecture-wise, she's very knowledgeable, and really, really knows her stuff — down to the smallest details. The con is, she sometimes discusses too fast. But don't fret bc she asks the class every now and then if we understand what she's lecturing. She is very organized and her Canvas course is as well. She replies a day after, which is a normal thing naman, and usually checks our assessments in a graveyard time (2AM-ish). Moreover, her quizzes are only short but make sure that you listen to her lectures because that's where she gets the coverage. Oh, and she only allots 5 minutes for the quiz so make sure to use your time wisely. Overall, she's a great prof. She really knows chemistry, and she taught us well. Grade-wise, B-able but A-able with max effort! Idk how she grades in lectures tho. Goodluck,!more

she graduated last year lang so this might be her first time teaching lecture (and tbh she might still be in this group) but she was great❤️ to be fair i'm a bio major who got her for biochem lab (got an A), but unlike some lab profs, she teaches concepts well. since she's young and gen z (lol) you don't have to be scared to ask her questions especially if you're confused about something and need more guidance. if you're not a science-y person then you should take advantage of this (ask questions for clarification, tips on how to do her assessments well) but also remember to still respect her cuz she's the prof at the end of the day hehe. also she's nice and might give incentives to her beadlesmore

Chill lab prof; crash courses but we survived quizzes

Had ma'am aly for 10.02 (lab) and she's chill. there were times that the lab lessons were ahead of the lecture lessons so she had to give us a crash course on the topic (like less than a 15 mins explanation) but we survived the quizzes that come after it. she explains well but leaves out a bit of the details because you'd need "higher chemistry" to fully explain it so I think you can understand all of the lessons nmn, just ask her to explain those details more if you're curious. most of us weren't from a stem bg but idk anyone who struggled under her unless you cut frequently.more

i can confirm everything here!! took her for chem 10.02 and as a non-chem major, i can definitely say that the way she discusses chem concepts rlly helped me understand everything easily. and yes, she gives 5 point quizzes to be answered in 5 minutes before class so always be prepared by reading about the lessons. she's A-able with effort!!more
