was also really scared of her bc of the reviews they had for her but when i had her for fili 12, she was not like those reviews.. 😅 i kept on telling my friends that when i was still in her class that “she isn’t as evil as they portray her to be.” or maybe we js caught her in her mabait era.. she was making jokes in our class and she really made us her friends! she never had a case of embarrassing my classmates that weren’t fluent in tagalog! she would ask each one of you to pray every class (accdg to the alphabetical seating arrangement) and a lot of people in my class prayed in english too. answering her questions in taglish was also not a problem for her. her long tests are js kinda hard to understand since they’re really deep tagalog, but you’re allowed to have a tagalog-english dictionary with you!!! ☺️more
i rlly sucked in filipino and i failed her LTs and quizzes but i still passed her sub 😭 she’s not that terror and evil as others would say it. in my experience she’s really funny and she jokes alot and relates it to her lectures. in the assessments just make sure you understand it well so pass. i rlly liked her vibe, her class makes me sleep bc its in the afternoon and in berchman but she makes it bearable naman :P make sure to listen alot of her quizzes comes from what she says in class

honestly seems like it is dependent on your class on how she treats you all. for me, doc was very kind and funny! she always made jokes with our class. however, she was still passive aggressive. keep in mind she's been teaching for a long time so during her lectures, you realize how deeply she understands and cares for the subject.
honestly, do really well in the long tests by consistently showing up and taking notes. make sure to do her bonus assessments and always recite! although, a lot of my classmates failed or had low class standings. she is not an easy class at all, if you want an A, you really have to work for it. the highest i knew in my class was a C.more

i love her but she wasnt, her tests are deep tagalog even if she allowed fili to eng dictionary. in my experience rin i only really understood what was going on at the end of the semester (when we were covering more recent literature) and it got me to never pass an LT or quiz 😭😭
but shes the best, shes funny and she knows how to connect w the class. idk i thought jt was my fault i couldnt keep up with the standards 😭😭more

Honestly she’s really funny and fun to learn from! I enjoyed every class despite being on the verge of failing HAHA (though stressful at times)
She gives a lot of opportunities for bonuses though!! That’s what got me from almost an F to a C+. Personally i would say I’m pretty mid when it comes to Filipino so that’s why I struggled a lot 🥲 I couldn’t understand the questions and choices in the exams at times even if I spent a whole week studying but she does allow the use of dictionaries! (Though I never used it because I realized it took too much time to go through to find the word and I ended up almost not finishing the 2nd LT) There are some group works and sometimes she gives surprise bonus during quizzes:)
I think the best tip I can give is to really listen to her! A lot of the questions in the exams come from what she verbally says so as much as possible make sure to note down what she says! She gives PowerPoints naman so basically focus on what she says as she presents said slides>_<
She also encourages asking her questions during her consultations if you have any questions about the lesson, she’ll help you understand so I’d say she’s very approachable as well!! Goodluck anonnn!more
