Hello! Sir Franz is a chill prof. Very considerate rin. I’d say he gives “wise Tito” vibes. The only thing I can complain about is the long readings per module (pero it’s kinda bearable naman since most of the module topics were done by group reporting, and he’s very generous with the group grade). I recommend taking detailed notes during your classmates’ group reports and help each other out by sending your Powerpoints to your HISTO group chats right after the presentation. It’ll save you guys a lot of time when preparing for his LTs since they’re all essay-type and based talaga on the readings. He discusses some topics on his own in between group reports, and I highly encourage you to jolt down as much details from these discussions as you can (they’re good info additions during LTs and for your Final Paper).
It’s not just the readings you have to watch our for as well. Remember to course through the other info in the modules that sir posts kasi some of them are used as bonus questions during LTs.
Participate as much as you can. Sir is the kind who welcomes his students’ take on things. It’s fun to exchange ideas with him during discussions (and he’s more than eager to engage with you if you wanna stay after class a bit to exchange more ideas— you can really tell he likes what he teaches).
REALLY IMPORTANT: Manage your time well during LTs. Don’t stay focused on one item for too long. Short yet info-rich essays are your key to an A. You also need to include from which reading you got that info from, but sir isn’t strict with the in-text citation. Just mention the last name of the author (“According to Gomez……) and you’re good to go.

hi!! i had him for histo 11, if i remember right. our requirements were 2 LTs, 5 discussion boards per module, a presentation on a lesson, a final video that u just submit through canvas with a group!!
-the 2 LT’s we had were all essay! but very concept based and he wants u to turn back to the readings. our 1st LT was onsite and our 2nd LT was by pair and asynchronous because he felt bad that we were having a hard time/we were stressed during finals.
-it’s easy to get a good grade for him, i barely did anything for the class and got a B! the discussions boards are also by group but sometimes it is done individually
-we only met him once a week since the other session was used to just do work or wala lang talagang class
-sir was rlly nice and he really appreciates your opinion and is open to discussions about topics! ur in good hands! just read and participate! 🩷more

agree w/! was his beadle for this class and he grades pretty fair imo. iirc, we only had 3 cuts for his classes because we only met once a week.
the readings are pretty interesting and so are his discussions. though for our class most of the meetings were group reports. just make sure to do the discussion boards, read the readings, and do some recits and you should be good!more

THE BEST!!! had him last sy first sem! i wouldn't say mahirap or madali mga Long Tests niya pero mahalaga talaga na mag-aral, mag-saulo, at mag-notes before ka sumabak sa longtest kasi binabasa talaga nang maigi ni Sir sinusulat mo and he'll give you a low grade if mema lng yung sagot mo kasi gusto niya detailed-specific yung essays mo sa lt and you mention the readings like "According to Ocampo eme eme". And hindi issue ang pangit na handwriting (me) so okay lng yun as long as maintindihan niya HHSHAHAHAmore

as long as u do all the discussion boards which iirc are pretty easy naman, as long as u read the readings (he’ll know. trust 😭), then you’re good. our final group proj was a video/podcast and u get to think of anyy topic as long as u can relate it to the readings 🙏
the only down side is that he doesn’t upload his ppts … so make sure to take notes 🥲more

I’m taking him this sem. Sir Franz is overall chill prof. So we had 5 discussion boards(eazy to chatgpt but make sure to add details from reading) 2 long tests(read the readings dont gpt), 1 podcast and 1 group ppt(read the reading thoroughly and find good grpmates). Sir can compromise with ddls and assessment since majority were partner or trio. Overall ez b+ but min effort for Amore
