Hi! I took Sir Gementiza in 1st Sem SY 2023-24. I got a B+ in his class and let me tell you, it was a lot of effort. If you take his class, you'll need to self-study because he doesn't really give too many lectures. He spent like the first month of class just going over our syllabus. When we were done with that month, we spent the rest of our classes doing group discussions about the readings/topics or working on our group projects. His requirements consisted iirc a quiz per module and a midterm group project related to your final group project (the group project is basically a game/presentation of your NSTP experience...it was really difficult to do this well because he kept changing his mind and instructions abt it...For example, he'd tell us to remove something and incorporate something else, and we'd do that only for him to question it and tell us to revert back to the original idea...only for him to change his mind again...so it was really, really confusing. I suggest consulting with him and your NSTP moderator a lot since their comments really helped us get a good grade on the project and get good group mates!).more

My advice is to avoid him at all cost. Absolutely hated his class since he's a strict grader. You could follow all his guidelines and even consult him for your work and he would still take issue with it. If you're stuck with him or can't loadrev then just pick your groupmates wisely.more

I'd say his class is an easy B. He's A-able if you have it in you to finish his work early and memorize the modules for his quizzes. But his class experience is just not great. He's very strict with attendance and will not be lenient with student requests.more

Quiz type is always multiple choice. All questions will come from moodle so just review the moodle, minsan yung questions from the moodle games will be repeated in the quiz. Overall its easy to get a high score as long as you deeply familiarize the moodle module.more

quizzes r easy af but you would need knowledge of what was discussed which is p easy even for non-catholics!

HI since grades just came out i will give my thoughts hehe he used a diff platform for his modules and we’d have quizzes after each of them. he provided reviewers too but they don’t cover everything in his quizzes. during lectures he would call random ppl to recite (unless there were volunteers) but the qs were usually just “based on what u’ve read in the module, what r ur insights” what i didn’t rly like abt him tho was that u can tell when he starts to lose patience which happened a lot 😭 and he was a VERY strict grader which sucked bc sometimes his instructions were unclear esp for the finals project he wasn’t a super terrible prof but if u’re qpi-conscious i would not recommend him (unless u work rly hard) GLUCKmore
