Ui, classmate(s)! See you this coming Wednesday! For the review (I took him on DEV108): You will learn a lot from him, but he's the prof who really made me understand "'D' is for 'Development Studies'." He really gives sharp criticism but always hits the bullseye on what to improve on. He's a practitioner of the craft and he will really become your most stern devil's advocate. Though, that makes every triumph you have in his challenges all the more sweet (and he's really vocal when something is excellent!) If Development Studies is an RPG game, I consider him one of the "big bosses" of it. Really tough to conquer, but you get a huge power-up afterwards. At least, when it comes to communication, I still carry his sharp eye for criticism and meticulousness. **Do not be surprised if you'll get your first F or D from this man.** What matters is how you'll rise up, really note down his critiques, and improve. From getting a horrible D, I finished his class with a hard-won B+. A-able? Difficult, but some have done it. Brace yourself for work under Sir EJ! Oh, and since his class is usually from 6-9, prepare yourself to stay awake every Wednesday night. Though, he makes it easy! A cup of coffee will help you though, hehe. High standards but you can ace it if you have good groupmates and all of you are very committed with community engagement and your desired development intervention/project For his quizzes, study everything in the module and take notes in class so that you can remember everything he discussed He likes interactive sessions so read the modules before class because he asks questions regarding the modules and he will get mad if nobody answers since he would know that nobody read his modules Just prepare to be present from 6-9pm because he just yaps HAHAHA pero he’s very knowledgeable and if you’re into development projects, then you are in good hands.more
