As someone who was her student for SocSci, Gen Psy, and Expe Psych (both lec and lab) I can say that she's the GOATTTTT. Her workload is manageable and given that it’s Expe expect more groupwork in general. We had 4 long tests and the rest were all both big (paper submissions) and small (exercises) group works from what I remember. One of the best things about her is that she doesn’t overcomplicate things she teaches (very straight to the point and simple). She’s very fair with grading so just have a good group (shoutout to my group <3) and very good group outputs so you can get an A. She was more “A-able” when it came to SocSci and Gen Psych but just do your best especially in the group submissions (be careful with sources, spacing, grammar, etc. since she really pays attention to the small details) and you will end up with a good grade :>>. I’d say B+/A-able with gooood effort for expe psych! Really just do your best hehe. Consult if you can, read her comments on submissions, study for her long tests (all multiple choice naman), and really just enjoy because her classes were the ones I always looked forward to :)) Don’t take her for granted because she’s also very approachable and cares for her students (don’t be afraid to ask to move deadlines if needed). TIP: During her lectures DON’T type/write what is written on the powerpoint (she gives it to you naman) instead type/write down what SHE SAYS (verbatim kung kaya) even the most random examples she gives to explain a concept, TYPE IT DOWN. ANOTHER TIP: She gives bonus questions on long tests about any random fact (sometimes about the psych dept in Ateneo) so be ready for that 😉more

(was a student last year for Expe Psy) You'll have 2 long tests and some exercises for Lec and a main experiment for Lab. The lecture LTs can be a bit difficult but it's definitely fair. I did enjoy her lectures alot and she answers questions in good detail. Lab has you propose an experiment and then conduct it in the later part of the semester. Get good groupmates and do your proposal early! Make sure to be ready in your consultations with her since she asks good question. You will also have to process the data and analyze it and give yourself ample time to do so as well Ma'am is also considerate and chill but make sure you communicate well with her if you need that extra consideration. She does have her limits on that (which she is fair on) so keep that in mind. Not an easy A (I got a B) but I highly recommend her since I learned a lot and enjoyed my time especially in Lecture.more

Ms. Janine was a very chill teacher for SocSci 11. Her way of teaching was clear and simple. She barely gave tasks, and didn't assign readings (at least for my class). Resources were readily available on Canvas, but you'll survive by just listening in class. We had four long tests, but it was all multiple-choice, simple questions. She always asked if it was too difficult and adjusted for her students. She also gave LOTS of bonus opportunities through games, but they're more competition-style (think Kahoot and Jeapordy). So if you take her class, your real goal is to outcompete your classmates. One time I clarified something with her by asking "so projection is being delulu?" and she thanked me for simplifying the topic and then proceeded to say "if projection is being delulu, reaction formation is being plastic". So don't be afraid, she's very chill lol. Overall, I highly recommend.more

tldr: goat prof but super high standards; and rightfully so (?) if it’s just the learning you’re after, you won’t be short on that with ma’am. she’s so knowledgeable, knows her stuff and teaches it and a dumbed-down way if the class needs it. she’s super open to questions. super chill prof, makes relatable jokes, and cares about her students. she once gave us a pack of kangkong chips each after our exam. here’s the “but” if you’re grade conscious. i don’t believe ma’am is A-able. for lec, you have to have an average of 45/50 on her three exams to get a 92 (that’s without other worksheets yet). and i’m here to say that it’s.. very very difficult to do that. exam 2 will mess your chances up. for lab, her A is a 96 and for a very very wise prof, she has super high standards. overall, B+ able. can’t say anything bad about ma’am. she’s truly amazing.more

Hii so I can’t say how she’d do for PSYC 20 since I I had her for my Socsci 11, but at least for my class I can say she was rlly nice, taught in a laidback and relatable way, and gave a decent amount of workload that’s coupled with all the Binhi requirements we hadd :>>more

She is good and fair prof. She does her best to explain things very thoroughly. Do your best to be meticulous about writing (grammar, flow of writing) as she cares greatly about that. If I remember correctly she is the type to frequently go off on tangents so you might have to get used to that. She gives bonuses also.more

Not A-able sa Lab kahit u get 97/100 sa papers legit HAHSHHAHA (literally no one in class got an A) pero Lec possible pero u rlly have to work so hard I love her so much tho would recommend kasi fun naman class and u only go to class when it's important 😭 she follows through w her promises !! (She got us 5 boxes of pizza cos the class ave was higher than expected) literally super nice n fun!!!more
