Hi, Ma'am Jen is one of my fav profs so far (no glazing fr)! I had her onsite this semester and she was really fun to have as a professor. She makes sure that the information she's teaching is digestible for the class, and gives easy to follow demos for lab work as well. Whenever we make mistakes, she doesn't lecture you or get mad. All she does is tell us the protocol and help us clean up patiently. She's very chill too, like I've never felt any pressure from her. When it comes to the subject itself, just make sure that you can work under time pressure because the syllabus is pretty crunched when you have seniors in your class. I think there were sessions where we had to go overtime because we were doing two lab activities in one session. Otherwise, you're all good. Also, make sure to memorize the computation for the media preparation because there are times when you need to just do the math in your head, or else you won't have time for anything else. She's also strict with attendance. If you arrived in class after she calls your name for attendance, you get an immediate half-cut. If you arrived in class 15 minutes after the second bell, immediate cut. She makes it very clear from the beginning of the class (+ it's in the syllabus) so make sure to follow it. I know it sounds scary but as long as you manage your time well, you're all good. Her workload for this sem: 5 informal lab reports, 2 formal lab reports, 1 journal critique, 3 long exams (with a practical portion), and a pre-lab notebook. She gives feedback pretty quickly and points out what's good and what needs to be changed if there are any. Honestly, an easy A for me. Not much effort on my part compared to other Biology subjects I've taken.more

Hi! I had Ma’am Jen before as our asst. prof along with Sir Rej Bagonoc. She’s a great lecturer and makes concepts digetisble that you’re able to apply during sessions. One of the biggest factors about her for me is her great personality an an educator. She’s patient with teaching which made me enjoy the subject; because of her along with Sir Rej I actually am in the path of pursuing a specialization in microbiology! I think she’ll have at least a similar syllabus with Sir Bagonoc. Workload is manageable. You’ll have 5 quizes, 2 formal lab reports, 5 lab worksheets, and 1 long test, and a moving practical exam from what I remember. The subject is A-able and somewhat easy A if you put in the effort. You won’t really find yourself having a hard time if you listen and manage your time well. Hope this helps! cc:more
