we had him as a prof for a diff subject but all i can say is that you’re in good hands :>> one of the smartest and most passionate profs i’ve had thus far! really couldn’t say anything negative abt the way he teaches (apart from having to squeeze so much in one meeting i guess,, huhu info overload every session ganun) but to be vvvv honest i think ppl who aren’t that into the social sciences will find him challenging 😢 hecc. but he has this thing like a form which is open for the whole sem where u can send in comments/suggestions with how he teaches and he rly takes the feedback seriously idk i rly appreciated that he gives u the grade that u deserve! uploads readings and ppts ahead of time so u don’t worry abt him changing slides too fast HAHAHAH ++ him being super generous on reports on papers and dad jokes lol he’s a memelord too u will love him. will always vouch 4 our lord n savior yonahamore

Very passionate about whatever he is teaching! He also inserts interesting points and facts here and there-- we always start the class with stoic and other philosophy quotes and proverbs. He is very open to feedback about his teaching and approachable. Adjusts his schedules appropriate to your hectic schedules (but please DO NOT abuse this, he just cares a lot for his students :(). Sir Yvan is such a dad, very kind and jokes a lot (pero typical dad jokes) For the class i took with him (DS 102), no quizzes, we had a few papers, one midterm LT, and a few group reports so there isn't much room to pull up your grade BUT he gives leeway and space in other ways to help bring this up. He's generous in reports and adjusts accordingly. He even gave a final bonus to help bring those .n points na kulang to pull up a grade. Luv him <3 a KINGmore

That is a new elective offered by the DS dept since sir is also a new prof this year! Took him for DS 102 and he’s very passionate about his stuff !!! Interesting discourse in class and very considerate. Grades fairly, and his jokes in class are the best HAHA you will love him.more
