Module exams, recitation, and lots of bonuses

had him for socsc 11 so im not sure if same lang teaching style niya sa PSYC 23 exams: we usually have one exam per module, objective type madalas so mahalagang saulo at naiintindihan mga terms and concepts. hindi naman gaano kahirap pero best not to underestimate na rin since minsan nakakalito mga tanong sa multiple choice & true or false. may essays din sa dulo and ipapaexplain sayo ibang concepts + magbibigay ka application irl. participation & dbs: he grades your participation in class at saka discussion boards sa canvas so it's good to recite din sometimes para maalala ka niya! bonuses: he gives a lot of bonus, mga random questions abt ateneo usually during exam. and also minsan may pa-games sa class din and pag nanalo kayo or nagawa niyo ung task, may bonus points kau hehe. may optional essay din kami noon tapos pag nagpasa kami may bonus points din. since sobrang daming bonus na binibigay niya, i think it's not impossible to get an A!! + another thing, binabalik niya kaagad mga exams so you can really keep track of your grades. he's approachable din sobra and parang never ko pa siya nakitang nagalit sa class or what HAHAHHAHAmore

PPTs + listening get you by; textbook helps a lot

you can get by with just the ppts + listening during discussions for his long exams! but it really is a big help to read the textbook (that’s how i did really well on his exams i think a good chunk of the questions were straight to the point, so not giving a situation / application. ex. Which of the following showcases the getting type style of life? his essays can be hard because its usually application of the modules to real life situations / your life. iirc one of his questions for the essay was about the lesson in relation to social media! he also puts bonus questions sometimes! usually it’s about the current module or the previous one overall, his exams were pretty chill naman! i think prioritising active recall was what helped me do good on his examsmore

ure in good hands bc hes a great teacher! hes also v organized. i dont rlly remember a lot but theres no negative experiences w him for me or whatsoever. also he always gives concrete examples of the theories/concepts to help in understanding. u wud just find urself listening to him in class while he’s sharing his experiences with his therapy clients. i found this rlly helpful and also v inspiring for people who wanna excel in the counseling field. workload was also manageable. his long tests were lowkey tricky and difficult, so i suggest u rlly read the book if ure aiming for a high grade. he also has reflection papers iirc, he grades fairly on those. js apply the concepts well to your real life experiences and reflections! overall b+/a-able.more

my memory fails me but its usually the same format across psych majors!! its objective, always multiple-choice, and can get up to 80 pts ata? there’s also those situational questions, so basically— memorization + application. oh and in theoper there’s group presentations of ur chosen theory and u will have to present a journal article abt it. kasama yung articles sa exam… so pls dont study the night before since the coverage is long af 😭more

Our class meetings feel like therapy sessions. -Replies fast sa emails -He speaks fast, but you can ask him to slow down. -Does not allow the use of gadgets. -Allows an extension of the deadline. -Quizzes compose 30% of the overall grade. The quiz is a 30-point multiple-choice with 1 bonus question. -He grades decently in other submissions and presentations not a low grader, but also not a high grader. -A Taylor Swift fan hehe A-able with more effort! 💕more

he's nice and understanding but he gave me a very low grade even though i recited a lot and did fairly well in my tests/dbs. :// i got a higher grade for calc and im not even good at mathmore

Took his class onsite! Our synch classes literally felt like therapy sessions, and also very fun because of icebreakers and mini-games before the discussion proper (Like speed-dating and charades). He uses visual aids but in my opinion, you don't need to copy everything because his Canvas modules are very comprehensive. His grading style might take you by surprise because he tends to grade according to the level of analysis/insights you put into your work. Make sure to integrate reflection points from the discussion (as in specifying the title of the lesson or the key concept you chose). Definitely A-able if you are sincere and intentional with what you share in his requirements. Take him! 🤍 Replymore

You have to really apply and relate the concepts on a personal level when accomplishing the schoolworks! We had about 4-5 assessments (1 per module) then one final paper! A few groupworks, and we usually have engaging activities in the middle of the lecture. Fun class & learned a lot! Makes u really reflect on ur life HAHAHHA perfect balance of objective and subjective explanations for lessons, A-able but I got a B! Super accommodating and understandingmore

one of my favorite profs ever! learned so much from him, almost all the content in the tests are in his slides, group activities are doable with the right groupmates, and you will learn so much about yourself through his subject and his teaching! only downside for me was no gadgets, but you wouldn’t even need them kasi his pacing is sakto lang sa dami ng content. you’re in good hands,!more
