Literally the most considerate prof you could ever ask for. I was a beadle last sem for one of his SocPsych classes, and he is so chill it's crazy. Very lenient with deadline extensions, long exams extensions and workload negotiations BUT PLEASE do NOT abuse this privilege. Sometimes when I ask for extensions (based on what the class wanted), I feel so guilty because I feel like we're asking for too much. Pero he doesn't mind naman kasi he was a student nga raw before. Nasa sariling konsensya niyo na yan kung aabusuhin niyo.
Regarding his teaching style, very straightforward. He adds information that you can't find sa reference book so important to actually listen to lectures. He's fun and engaging din, so kahit inaantok ka you'll actually absorb something.
Long exams are usually based on his powerpoints, ref book, and lectures. Just make sure to read the readings before the exam and you'll be fine. Book chapters are, as usual, long but pinahaba lang siya because of the research examples. Easy to understand naman.
We had an archival research paper for our semester-long requirement. He'll give proper instructions, just follow it and you'll be fine. There are also mandatory consultations about those so make sure you're prepared. Be thorough with the details you add because he will ask questions. Not super strict naman like those terror profs you think of. Basta handa ka ok na yon
Can't say if easy A bc I was a beadle. Definitely A-able though. But tbh, matalino at masipag ka naman siguro kaya mo na yan 👍 imo, madali lang exams niya basta nag-aral ka.

I feel like i haven’t seen an updated reply so here is mine:
OVERALL:
One of the best psych profs ever. Incredibly kind, considerate, and teaches well and had a great beard. Grades high because of the tiered curve
TEACHING STYLE:
He does a mix of lectures, kahoot games, and online class (because of the oil crisis). Each group in class has a group presentation n usually that would be the whole class session (unless it was online, then he’d show a pre-recorded video at the end of your presentation to add to your topic). He also has practice quizzes on canvas which are super useful during the LTs. He also curves depending on how well your team performs during the kahoot games and how often you recite in class so definitely use those to your advantage.
REQS:
Other than LTs and class participation, we had a group presentation and a final project that we worked on in chunks throughout the semester. It’s honestly chill, our group clutched in like a couple days during finals week and did fine.
TESTS:
We had 3 LTs. Read the assigned book chapters and do the practice quizzes and you’re fine. Tbh i’d say if you just wanna pass then watching his pre-recorded lectures will help with that. I didn’t do the best in the LTs (just barely above the class average for all 3) and still got a good grade. It was multiple choice, identification, and matching type.more

Had Ma'am Anj Ang for a higher psych class. Although I am sure her style will be the same throughout naman :)
Teaching/testing style: She teaches slow because hinihimay niya yung chapters, giving more emphasis to the importants one. She's also a very reflective prof - so it really helps if you recite and give out your own opinions regarding a theory. She's quite mahinhin though so best to sit in front haha! Tests are true/false or multiple choice but don't be fooled, her tests are very tricky haha! Although for most 101, read the book, understand the concepts and you'll be fine!
I learned a lot from her but I guess i am saying this from a lens of someone who took her for a higher psych class. Aside from the material I learned from the subject, I learned life experiences from her. She's also very nice! Very caring and is willing to guide you on the subject. You can even consult with her regarding how the lesson applies to your life (most of us did this haha).
Workload most likely she'll have some LTs, reflection papers, quizzes, and maybe a group project. Kaya naman!!!! Hahaha i think she also 'curved' the grades for our class.

Tip: make sure your class is engaged so she'll reciprocate because she's quiet HAHAHAH! My class was close to her so naglolokohan kami lolmore

Tbh you just have to read the book and be familiar with the terms, and you're set na. He's interesting to listen to in class and he gives cases wherein the Psych concept is used. I had fun in his class!!more

agree!! jus wanna add that u can also have consultations w sir abt ur papers! he's super accomodating & all u have to do is send over ur paper so that he can leave helpful comments. personally, this really helped me get good grades in his class. aside from that, make sure ur paper is filled w credible references to back ur content cos that's what sir looks for. love sir camacho! no regrets <33more

hi! i had sir ryan last year and he’s easily one of my favorite profs ever! he’s super nice and i definitely enjoyed his class sm! his lectures are in the form a video where he presents a ppt and basically discusses each point (there’s a transcript as well iirc if u want another medium of learning hehe)! he has quizzes for each module as well but u have like 3 tries ata for them and they’re fairly easy!! his reqs are mostly DBs (both group and indiv), thought papers, and a group presentation! the indiv DBs and thought papers take some time as some research is involved but tbh i rlly liked the thought papers as u get to choose ur own topic! :> overall would def take him as a prof again and he always ends his lectures with “i wish you well, i wish you peace, and i wish you happiness” def B+/A-able w effort!more

Amazing prof overall! One of the highlights of my sophomore year as I genuinely enjoyed accomplishing his requirements (even if I spent hours scouring the internet for possible journals that fit my topic). He's very approachable as well and I do recommend grabbing a partner to consult sir about your paper. iirc, the quizzes at the end of each module weren't required but accomplishing them would give you extra credits ++ you get 3 tries to memorize your correct answers and fix your incorrect ones! Overall, you won't regret taking his class and definitely A-able with effort!more

He’s a good grader and easy to talk to! You need to memorize a lot and study for what he calls his long tests, which are every week. Some are individual which are simple to answer, and some are group (pick your own at the start pa lang) where you can divide the load. All multiple choice. Each group has 1 group report are a thing where you have to make a game to teach a topic and make a quiz, and we had to do a video also. Super kaya mag-A and camacho makes studying for finals easier as well cos of the weekly LTsmore

took field methods under sir ryan (was also his beadle). what i appreciated most about him was how he gave very detailed feedback. he’s also approachable so whenever you have questions or if you need immediate comments on your work, just send him a message on canvas and he’ll most likely reply.
he has a one pass rule tho so sometimes he might not answer your questions if they’re too specific.. or if you send him a draft of your work, he won’t check it bc u only have to pass it ONCE. but that’s ok kasi you can always frame your questions in a way that’s not too… specific and direct ig
