had him for math 10 so baka diff naman siya with ur subj (honestly idts kasi more on sa character yung complaints namin and hindi naman sa teaching style😭)
pros:
- personally i think very maayos siya magturo! he teaches step by step talaga like as in SLOW but in a good way? kasi if wala kang background sa topic magegets mo talaga imo.
- un lng HAHBXSJB
cons:
- laging late. nagiging game sa class yung huhulaan namin if may pasok b tlga o sadyang late lng tlga siya
- for some reason during our sem panay siya absent? he did say na puro medical yung reasons niya and talagang nagkaroon ng time na everyone kept getting sick and we totally understood naman but mahilig kasi magbigay ng short notice si sir. as in hours before class time lang siya magsasabi na walang class (this sucks kasi minsan siya lang onsite class mo tapos di pa pala tuloy, napagod lang commuters TT).
- as ive mentioned slow-paced yung teaching style niya which is good. however, minsan nakakaantok na and physically mapapaquestion ka na lang kasi suddenly bakit naging slowmo yung room (cc: ). magigising ka naman ulit because may occasional dad jokes here and there na apat lang yung nagrereact (cc: HAHSHAHA)
- doesn’t reply and on the rare occasions that he does sobrang late naman
- very strict on deadlines. i think our class tried to request to move two tests on two separate occasions pero ayaw niya talaga
- also very strict about giving bonuses. our class tried asking if kaya since a lot of ppl in our class medyo pumapalya na yung grades during midterms szn (because di naman siya nakakapagturo bc palagi siya absent😭) pero ayaw niya talaga. on the bright side though, andaming na-drop na assessments because nakulangan na ng class hours LOL
- doesn’t curve. transparent naman siya with this so okay lang. he always returns papers naman, minsan nale-late but dw bibigay niya yan eventually.
+tip to get a good grade is to monitor your scores after each assessment tapos for the next assessments aim for the specific score that you need in order to get your target grade.
- his assessments are rlly just d same with what he gives as practice examples in class, so as long as nakikinig ka sa kaniya and alam mo naman na you can answer d problems he gives during class, for sure ull be able to answer his assessment questions (but also pls take this with a grain of salt bc his approach might be diff with your subject)
overall a/b+able if you know what you’re doing, diligently take notes, and actually study

had him for math 30.13 just last second sem! honestly he was a very sweet and understanding prof, teaches slow enough pero on time parin kayo sa timeline ng syllabus. he also solves problems with the class, and is very lenient even if you don’t understand what you’re doing. purely whiteboard-style teaching, so no ppts, but there are canvas modules uploaded naman. LT’s were kind of hard but manageable, and there were a few short quizzes in between. overall would take him again as he really helps you to understand the lesson and teaches you some neat tricks for the topic as well. cons lang are he’s not amenable to online classes, and hard to reach via email, so he’s definitely a prof you have to communicate with onsite. other than that, super bait and knows what he’s teaching!more

not math 21, but i had him for math 30.24 during sophomore year, 1st sem:
- very chill & approachable prof 👍
- usually arrives just on time; sometimes up to 5-10 minutes late ⌛️
- his lectures are moderately paced & does a lot of practice problems (solutions are written on the board afterwards) 📍
- make sure to listen, take down notes, & solve the practice problems so u Learn 📝
- he announces quizzes during/after class; no surprise quizzes iirc ❗️
- lenient in terms of giving out partial points for ur solutions in his exams ✅
- the assessments he gave were quizzes and departmental long tests (DLTs); quizzes can easily be prepared for but the DLTs are quite difficult ❗️
overall, he's one of the better math profs i've taken 👌more

it depends, our module quizzes were easier than midterms but our module quizzes were harder than finals... if you were to get him, you could semi-predict his quizzes because they'll most likely be some variation of the seatworks he givesmore

Was a beadle for his class for Math 30.13!- personally, he explained our lessons well during our class, step by step! And u can always ask questions naman, +it helps if ur not late/absent -all his lessons are onsite, never online -he doesnt reply to emails at all or if he does it might be late-always take notes during class! he does not use ppt/computer/ digital learning stuff-alsoo for our class he was always on time so im not sure if same with other classes!-sadly he doesnt announce if asynch class :(( its best to ask the other section that he teaches if he was present during their class timemore

the way he does quizzes is vv different from departmentals you would need to practice a lot to prepare for them but generally his quizzes ranges from ok to hard
he doesn’t use slides or anything and is a whiteboard warrior through and through but he’s willing to explain naman when u have questions! he gets confusing talaga at times because he would use the long process first and then do shortcuts and speedruns some lessons so you would need to self study a lot but he’s open for consultations
tldr get him if u want an ok experience and can self studymore

i had Silvistre for a different math during intersession and coming from someone who isnt good at math, i actually had a pretty high grade (B/A with effort) he teaches fast but his teaching style makes u understand it but you can always ask him to repeat the problem but he also breaks problems down step by step and encourages us to solve on our own. His assessments werent that difficult so pretty much youll be in good hands if ure under his class!more

Never took Zosa but I had Gatpatan for Math 10. At least 50% of the sessions were free cuts and minsan day of lang namin nalalaman or even at the supposed start time so sayang yung paghintay after a long vacant or commute kung yun lang ang class 😆
that said he had a 1 month announced free cut and it felt great. I also did ok in his class but our class of ~30 produced at least 3 Fs and several other Ds which (imo) is a pretty high concentration of themmore

got him for another math sub but in terms of teaching style, he teaches slow which i rlly appreciate! he gave out assignments which sums up 10% of our grade so big help if u r struggling 🥹
he’s very generous with partial points (one time i literally wrote the given and got like 3pts lol) he’s v considerate too and in my experience, is not too strict if you choose to have a different approach to the problem as long as you’re on the right track naman daw
the only con is that his tests tend to be harder than his examples in class and he’s always late 😭 but overall, would recommend!more

I took him last year, onsite. Let's just say he should be your last option if there are no other options for MATH 30.24 😭‼️. His lectures are purely going through problems, not much in tackling concepts. This means a TON of self-study would be beneficial in his classes (I was too busy last year, so...💀‼️). So, all I can say is, if you are confident in your skills with Calculus, and can be disciplined enough to self-study, then he would be an okay professor.more

i had him for math 10 but since u have a diff math then maybe he’s different pero from our exp:
- laging late 👍 literally will send a student to inform u not to leave because he’s always late ! loves to cancel class and one time he just didnt show up no announcement whatsoever!!
- personally didn’t learn anything! i had to rely on my seatmates lol
- textbook lover like everything is from the textbook
- because late and absent siya, we didnt have our final exam so he based our grades off our old tests so like ? no chance to redeem yourself
- doesn’t reply to your emails (even our beadle)
- doesnt curve grades
