when you study for her tests, rely on her ways of teaching and the ateneo precalculus book (actually some items in her tests are copied from it) before consulting outside sources. maximize your consultations as well and definitely do not overestimate your abilities.more

I think Doc Cathy is a good prof contrary to popular reviews; she’s just very by the book, hence the OC checking. She’s not as bad as you may think as long as you show that you are interested. Show up to class, recite, consult (this is VERY important), and PRACTICE EVERYDAY. I did all of this, and I got a B from her class naman, but it was a pretty hard B 😅 Good luck!more

C+ with lots of effortDr. Cathy is very approachable, a bit bubbly, and is motherly. That's why I see lots of students love her esp math majors. If you love math and is a math major, she's the right prof for you because she makes sure that her exercises are complex enough for you to learn. Her favorite line is "All of you guys can do it, you just need a little bit of stretch." As her classes are more advanced compared to others. However, in terms of grading she's very by the book. Even the slightest error of not putting = before the next line could give you 1 or 2 pt deduction. Wrong groupings can give you 2-4 pt deduction. She's not very lenient with grading which is very difficult. On the flip side of the coin, you'll find your departmental exam easy because her long quizzes are more difficult If you have no choice to loadrev, just talk to her, ask questions, try to seek assistance as she is very understanding/approachable. Also don't forget to ask additional exercises, though some of them don't have answer keys so yeah. Goodluck because her class takes a lot of discipline and patience!more

Withdraw with permission or just do load revision.
Unless you get off on hard work or having a challenge, ts prof will hurt you in ways that you can't even imagine.
If you were never good at math in High School or SHS don't bother trying, just save your QPI. She is unapologetically hard and does not give a damn if half of her class failing.
Don't even bother trying to cheat, unless GPT knows how ma'am makes her solutions it is still going to be wrong anyways
If you think you can do it go ahead, but if you failed her first first two long tests just withdraw atp and save yourself from the midterms and finals.more

Just listen to class and follow her methods and you’ll be fine. She’s very kind and approachable too. I never consulted or recited unless I was called. Hard A thomore
