Just beadled for her class (but for MATH 30.14) and she is a really great professor. She is very good at teaching and breaking down concepts. Although most comments say otherwise, I'd say that she's much kind and does give partial points. Just listen and participate in class, do the exercises she posts, as well as the ones on her slides. She won't test things that she didn't teach; if anything she makes sure that absolutely everything is covered, so her quizzes reflect exactly what she taught. She is open for consultation, easy to communicate with, and is very prompt. Just don't be rude, rowdy, and don't use your phone/sleep in class. Take notes and try problems on your own and you can definitely get an A in her class! Though she doesn’t have an incentive for the beadle, I reckon the role keeps you accountable. Also, being her beadle isn’t heavy work at all; just communicate class concerns with her, let the class know if she has announcements (which she usually posts anyways), and maybe collecting/distributing some 1x1’s. She’s one of the best so I’d consider paying attention in class and adapting her techniques rather than snoozing off in class and attempting to self-learn at home.more

Had her for Math 30.23 but Maam guzon has to be the most polarizing math prof oat. I think she has changed and is very kind compared to the reviews I've been seeing. But I might be unpopular in this because half of the class signed a petition against her lol
But overall she is very nice, she teaches better than most math profs since she actually goes by the lectures bit by bit and really makes you understand the lesson. For purely lectures, she is definitely one of the best and is also very kind when it comes to consultations. She kind of babies you when it comes to lectures tbh
However, don't take this as her test being easy. I do agree that her test can be kind of difficult and she really goes through every process of your solution. It doesn't matter for her if you answered correctly she will only give it 2/10 points if your, entire solution isn't to her liking. Yea, she is also stringent when it comes to partial points. You could think you'll get atleast a 90 but boom she'll give you a 70.
Overall, you'll learn A lot from her whether you are good at math or not but remember that her tests and checking is not as kind as her lectures. Good luck🫡more

was her m21 beadle. in terms of being a beadle she was responsive most of the time. very strict when it comes to people talking during class. DO NOT use your phone. like ever. she will call you out. no incentives for the beadle if that's what you're going for so if you have a heavy sem i'd discourage it
in terms of m21 however she made me want to end it ALL 😂🙏 great prof but make sure you have a strong foundation in previous math topics. lts are harder than departmentals and lts of other profs.
you can pass with max effort if you're not that much of a math genius. all that stress isn't worth it in the end if you compare her class with other profs. triggered my fight or flight everytime i stepped foot in her classroom.
if your program has a retention policy RUN! if you can't run then pray to every and any god you can think of and lock in 🙏more

Hii, I personally don't have an experience with her with Math 10, but I had her last sem during Pre Calculus. All I could say is that she's very knowledgeable about what she's teaching. She would usually have a lot of examples you could work with, and her teaching style is more focused on understanding the fundamentals and how it works. If you like a teacher who works on your foundations, she's the best there could be 🥰. However, fair warning lang din coz during tests she is quite specific on notations you would use and if you re not used to that, it can cause u to lose some partial points. But overall, she s super mabait and super understanding. Ang galing din nya magturoo 😭😭😭more

Told the class she hated us, but she can teach
was classmates with. One time in front of the class she basically told us she hated us. Lectures at many times were really difficult/strained because of this relationship.
She definitely is qualified and able to teach, I learned from her. and from what I hear from others who had her she's nice (she was really nice when she wasnt angry with us), I guess she just didnt like our class.more

her tests are really hard tho and she is brutal in checking HAHAHA but honestly if you study you can pass naman
she also gave us a bunch of homework to pull our grades up which i think is what made me pass the class. she truly cares about her students. she does maximize the time and goes over like 15 mins??? but yeah maam is AN ANGEL!! as seen on her name! hehe but yeah ur in good hands! just work hard and try to consult with her :))more

People keep saying “run” lmao 😭 but although her personality seems very strict (at times unlikable), she is a good professor in terms of teaching. She’s very direct and doesn’t mind explaining further or clarify any confusion. I had her for a math bridging class though, but I think her methods are the same for any class she teaches. Just don’t sleep, get distracted with ur phones, or talk out loud with friends cuz she will call you out infront of everyone.
Also, important tip: the rule of thumb when it comes to the math department is that THEY DO NOT CURVE. This applies to all math professors. So do your best to survive and make sure you practice consistently!more
