Take Aberin for MATH 1.1 / 1.2 if you want a named instructor students call loving and low-pressure, who announces quizzes and has handed papers back for a recheck. Sample is two unique writeups, both positive, so this is lean_take rather than take. Graduate MTHED supervision has no student_voice.

Aberin - teaches well, provides useful examples, and occasionally gives homework. Do all the homework well bc they can give you the bump you need to get a higher letter grade. Her tests are very manageable - the questions are commensurate to what she has taught in class. Grades fairly. I had her for Ma 18a btw.
Vistro-Yu - teaches fairly well and gives seatwork, quizzes (they're all announced and relatively easy). Her exams are more difficult tho and she's very meticulous when checking so make sure you write everything that's necessary (she won't hesitate to take off 3 points for not labeling the axes in your graphs for example). Be careful. I had her for Ma 18bmore

FOR VISTRO-YU. She's very meticulous in graphs. She grasped the whiteboard as if it was hers, make sure to practice and perfect your graphs every now and then. She has a very theory-laden foundation in proper mathematical steps in solving, so you might as well consider following what she taught and not the other way around. LTs are relatively easy. During our time, it's always departmental, so I couldn't say really. But overall, she's not easy A if you tend to forget even the slightest detail in your solutions, STICK WITH WHAT SHE TAUGHT.more

Aberin is the best!! She's really nice and very motherly. Had her for MA 19 and she made it easier for my class. She gives a lot of examples of increasing difficulty (a lot she makes on the spot) that will really help you understand the lesson better. She also gives a lot of activities for extra points (HW, group SW, etc.) to help you get better grades and prepare for the LTs as well. So it's not hard to get good grades with her! Actually A-able if you get good scores on her testsmore

KI SHAN TAN!!! for Ma11 was great. idk math 12 but she's a great teacher but has homeworks and quizzes. You need to put effort in her class to get high. She kept lecturing us on how people cut and are late for her morning class. Don't get her if you cut or are late a lot bc it could affect your grades and relationship with Mam. Easy B+ with effort, but C+ with none. A-ablemore

He does curve! I remember calculating getting a 91.something but ended up getting an A. Took him 2 years ago and for me, he's strict but definitely A-able as long as you can understand and talk in Filipino, recite in class, and read the stories so that you can participate. Make sure to put in effort on the video req too cus that can also pull you up or down depending on what you get.more
