IM CLASSMATES WITH HER!!! HAHA
Pros:
- He also gives a review day before midterms and finals. He will teach everything from the beginning till the end (Basically the whole coverage of the exam) on that day with matching free food!!
- He has concern for his students
- He doesn't humiliate you if you don't know the answer during recits! He guides you, but when you still can't catch up, you have to stand up until you get the GOOD (not just right, but good) answer for his question.
- He also makes sure that everyone understands the lesson before moving onto the next.
- His quizzes are take home quizzes (But they're challenging/long) and this can really pull your grades up!
- His midterm test is relatively easy as long as you STUDY REALLY WELL! (This is a huge chunk of your grade hehe)
Cons:
- He's very particular with your attendance so you really can't get away with it hehe
- He said that if someone's phone rings, he'll give a surprise quiz BUUTTT we haven't experienced that yet because we were scared okkk
- He really maximizes his time so no early dismissal but he respects the grace period naman
- He has the eyes of an eagle lol he can literally see everyone so don't even dare use your phone (but u can still get away sometimes lolz)
- He doesn't consider voluntary recitations lol even though you voluntarily recited and all, he'll still call you if it's your turn na UNLESS you recited (like everything) for someone who couldn't answer the question given to him/her
I tried to be as objective as possible but overall he's a very very very gooooood prof <33 For our finals, it was a group work but it's tedious because it's research sooo better choose your groupmates wisely!!!

[ATTITUDE]
- SUPER NICE! Hindi ka aantukin kasi he'll keep everyone engaged talaga during discussions. Minsan magtatawag siya randomly hehe may index cards siya for recitation pero nothing to worry about! He'll always guide you if di mo sure answer and madalas, nasa ppt lang ang sagot. It's open notes as well during recit.
- Bawal gadgets! Paper and pen lang pwede for note-taking. If may tumunog na phone during class, automatic may quiz kayo. If konti lang rin 'yung mga pumasok, may quiz din siya ibibigay.
- Helpful during consultations! Never be afraid to ask if may di ka mga nagets, he'll really explain everything to you thoroughly.
[REQUIREMENTS]
- We only had 2 LTs (100 points, m&c + essays, open notes, ) - for LT 1 we took it online on canvas pero onsite kami then LT2 was take home online, participation + exit tickets, and a group project --- all 25% each. Super doable and light!!
[GRADING]
-A-able with effort! If you aces his exams, you're safe A NGL and his LTs are pretty easy. Madalas, you can find them naman from his PPTs and handouts hehe

Hi, I took this class as an elective when it was brand new, so the experience may be a little different now. Atty. Kaw was excellent in this course. He made the law very approachable to people who weren't necessarily planning to go to law school.
As for the assessments, similar to how other people described them in the thread, we also had two timed open-notes exams. We also had a paper at the end of the course to summarize the things we learned. I'd say he grades these very fairly and you could do very well if you both listen in class and take the time to understand application of the cases. He also does recitation, but in a very controlled and nurturing way. For this class at least, he uses it to help the students engage with the lecture, so the pressure isn't severe. Overall, I'd very much recommend attending this class, especially if you care at all about understanding how the country's government works.

I remember that the midterm was a multiple choice exam (objective type) which was administered via Canvas. As for the finals, it would be a research paper on any topic of your choice.more

probably one of the best professors i've had so far -- only two professors come to mind when im asked about who changed my perspective on the academe.
atty kaw was very articulate and passionate about the lessons he teaches. he ensures that you have understood the topics he presents before moving on to the next.
he also treats you like you are his child, in the sense that he cares about your welfare over your academic performance.
slight downside (not really) is that he generally doesn't allow the usage of phones and laptops in his class and stressed that notes are to be taken down with paper and pen.

GOAT 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 even for someone with zero background in law, i found llaw 122 as my fave subject last sem because of him 🤩 you can really tell how passionate he is about the course and the way he explains concepts in class is super helpful for beginners! BUTTT i also found the exams super challenging because they are similar ata to how they administer it in law school if i’m not mistaken… in our case we took the exams online + open notes but with a time limit, idk lang how it will be done this time. we also recited every meeting kasi he calls on people lang talaga but he guides you naman in case u are unsure. all in all for the assessments, i think he just wants to see that you are logically sound :> would take him again if i could tbh hehemore

Upping this just in case somebody needs it next semester but if you'll ask me one single subject from my college journey that I'd recommend to anyone, it'll be this class! 🥹
Was his beadle last semester, and I concur with everybody's thoughts here, except that, now, the exams, despite their long and comprehensive nature, are taken home for a week. The final paper is also a creative 10-page brief, so no sweat compared to other subjects. Like always, Prof Kaw will teach law as if it was a story -- stories that shaped our history one way or another.
TL;DR: Take it while you can; you will learn HELLUVA LOT and you won't regret it 🤩more

FOR ONLINE SETTING: Probably one of the best profs in ADMU! Madami kayo matututunan sa kanya. Grabe yung wisdom grabee very fatherly. Particular sya sa organization ng thoughts sa mga papers and dboards answer. Plus he’ll really encourage you to speak in English during synch classes. Hi! 😊 One of, if not the best prof I’ve had so far!! He’s really passionate about what he’s teaching and always makes sure that the class gets the lessons, really approachable as well and is very open to answering questions. For our class he prepared a summary of each module that we could print out and use for reviews. His workload was easy as well, mostly just reflections through discussion boards and the LTs. Couldn’t recall if we had a final output sorry 😣.
Overall, really amazing prof and I never got bored during syncs. ++Very A-able!! more

Hi! I was his student for LLAW 112 when I was a freshman. One of the best law profs I know because he is very understanding, kind, and accommodating. Gives PPTs, provides you feedback and consultation time, and ensures everyone understands the lesson. Everyone is required to recite (usually in alphabetical order), but that’s how law classes are supposed to be. A-able with effort 😊 Easy B+ (but of course you still have to work hard for it, you really can’t slack off esp with groupworks). Read all the time and in advance. You’ll enjoy class with him!more
