Took him for Law 113 last 2nd sem, all I can say was he’s great. He’s very fatherly so he treats his lectures as if he’s making kwento. Sometimes, when hes not in the mood he’ll just keep discussing the whole class time.
A lot of his quizzes and projects were applications of the discussions but at times he would ask for terms and what they mean. His grading is also ehh since most of his exams were like either really HARD multiplechoice, or essay type. One exam we all failed so he made us retake it and he would choose from the higher score we got. His recitations were okay, he may be scary at times but he would guide you to get the answer. He would also throw you off sometimes to test whether you really believe in what you’re saying, but NEVER stay silent when reciting, try to say something or you’re doomed.
On the downside, if you’re really a onhands learner and need a teacher every session I guess he’s not for you since sometimes he would just skim the topic, go asynchronous all of a suden, and he even went abroad for a business trip for 2 weeks at one point.
TLDR SUMMARY: Overall, hes very forgiving with his exams and you can talk to him very easily. He may skim thru some topics so it’ll be up to you to study the material on your own. He often gives the class chances to bawi by retaking the test. It may be different if you’re a higher year since we took him for Oblicon lang. B-B+ with effort, A is definitely possible if you study really well.more

I had Atty. Nolido for LLAW111 this year so I’m not exactly sure if this will be applicable for that specific class, but he’s not that bad! I think the reviews made him seem like a terror prof because he uses the socratic method. During recits, it’s situational and this is when the socratic method happens. Basically, he gives you a situation that you have to analyze based on the lessons, and he will ask follow-up questions that will confuse you. The purpose of that is to make sure that you really stand your ground and expose yourself to contradicting ideas or instances. And he doesn’t shame you for not being sure (at least for my experience) because I had a hard time understanding the readings which made recits difficult for me, but he helped me get to towards the answer. The thing with Atty Nolido is that when you don’t seem to be sure with your answer, he leads you to them. He reminds you of specific things to look out for and allows you to recap your own answer so you don’t lose track. His quizzes are also similar to his recits naman (at least for LLAW111), and they’re either online or onsite. I think he’s B/B+-able with effort.more

hi i had atty last regular sem and almost got an A 😿 (so yes its A-able).
tips:
- always come prepared in class kasi he randomly calls students for reci. read his ppt in advance (especially his 'notes' in every slide).
- take notes and pay attention to his examples. usually, the examples he give in class are almost the same with the situations in his quizzes.
all exams mostly contain situational questions. we had 2 quizzes, 2 LE, and 1 group work.
for the first quiz, we got a 5(?) item essay type ques. and for the second one, it was mulcho and each item is worth 10 pts. but dont be too intimidated bcs sir gives 6 points for the wrong answers.
for our first LE, it was a 10-item mulcho. for the second le, it was a mix of mulcho and essay-type.
for the group proj, we simulated negotiation w another grp and made a contract. you can choose ur own groupmates.
atty gave back our grades for the essay type exams at the end of the sem so i honestly dont know how he grades them. pero i think he grades fairly high kasi i still got a range of 6-8 pts for my bullsht answers.more

I had Atty. Nolido for Oblicon and i was his beadle.
Sir takes things very straightforward. Does recits in rounds. You give him index cards. He uses ppts which contain his lectures, read the oblicon book.
He's very chill and friendly with his students and helps you get a high grade.
His teaching style is diff from the other profs though since if you don't read the book on your own and learn stuff on your own, mahihirapan ka sa departmentals.

dw abt the recitations bcs sir is very chill and he will rlly guide u towards the answer. he also gives second chances to ppl who did not get a good score on their first recitation.
tip: since u can use laptop/ipad during class. u can anticipate the order of the questions and the possible questions he might ask. ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO THE "NOTES" IN THE PPT

Haha hi. Nolido is a solid prof please don't pass on him. he also lets you out of class if you have a really special reason. Usually he checks attendance on the start of class and through quizzes/recit. He really doesn't use the full extent of the class on the first day. It's mostly to discuss the syllabus and welcome you to the world of law lol.
Notify him early that you plan to leave at a certain time and he'll let you off without a cut. (usually you should ask to leave having at least finished 1 hr and 30 mins)more

Recitation in class is random. If you were called already today, you won’t be called tomorrow or until the cycle finishes. He doesn’t grill grill you in recitation but he wants you to argue and stand your ground.
His tests are made to be confusing, just make sure to read and review before. When the class isn’t doing so well, he offers make up quizzes to give us chances to pull up our grades.
Grades fairly for projects.
