The goat. I may not have gotten an A but I surely enjoyed his class. He is open for questions from his students and doesn’t tolerate using phones during discussions (which is understandable).more

The GOAT. Kenjie can be strict at times and sometimes intense with his discussions. But he does offer understanding and kindness as a younger Proff. His quizzes were heavy on the students doing the readings, so be sure to read them thoroughly. Don’t make the mistake of answering quizzes with personal interpretations( I did that and got low😭). Dont be afraid to say that you don’t know the answer in discussions, he’d much prefer an honest response than just making bola

Nope. I had one classmate who seemed to perform very proficiently in his class. Perfect in most exams and near perfect in midterms. He still got B+.

Took ma'am Valerie during intersession and she's very motherly. We only had 2-3 sync classes and she also makes an effort to do video lectures for the class which were like 1-2 hours long but tbh I watched those lectures talaga kasi very helpful lol I barely read readings sa Histo 12 but the video lectures really helped a lot. For the reqs naman we had 1 discussion board per module and then 80% of our grades came from our historiographic paper which was an individual work for us this was kinda challenging considering na we had to do max 10 pages and min 8 with bibliography na. We also had the liberty to choose our topic as long as it was related to any of the topics in our Modules. Our Histo Modules were all posted na from the very start so we could have more time to research din. Ma'am is also very kind and considerate she adjusted the deadline for our historiographic paper as well. Overall I learned from her class and she's A-ble as long as she sees you put an effort on your work. I also suggest having consultations with her for your final paper because she suggests sources that you can also use as well!!more

take her class!!!! she’s super A-able, very understanding w deadlines, and overall such a good prof. For this intersession, our workload was only 4 discussion boards which were like 20% of your grade and the questions were mostly objective. The 80% of your grades comes from an indiv histographical paper (10 pages max) but don’t be intimidated by the grading system, she grades pretty high and also you’re the one who’s gonna choose your topic. In my opinion, it’s also very crammable!!more

he's a challenging prof for sure! his lectures are quite interesting and you will be sure to be a bit confused and challenged but it's worth thinking about and listening to. he has high standards so make sure to research your projects well. He has quizzes for all the readings so read up and review before each one. His orals were alright as well, just make sure to practice and know your content. biggest tip is to not use any of your devices in class as he's quite strict about them. I usually brought a pen and paper instead of using a laptop for notes. engage in his discussions as well especially when he asks questionsmore

Took her for intersession, so if you’re taking her for a sem, it might be different. Overall, my experience was chill! - TLDR: B+ with effort (mostly in quizzes!) I recommend her still though - You don’t really have to listen in class and read the readings cos everything is in her ppt! Note that her ppt isn’t the best but it contains everything you need for her quizzes. - Took 3 quizzes in total, and as far as I remember each one was over 10? - She grades in decimals (0.5, 0.2, etc.) - Lenient and very much tita vibes!! - Everything (podcast & final paper) except quizzes was done in groups, so make sure to choose your groupmates wisely!more

she’s super nice and chill, though i personally found her lectures disjointed at times (as in, she likes to go on tangents so you can’t tell if what she’s saying is part of the lesson or just banter) - nothing horrible naman but if your attention span is meh, making sure to do the readings would help so you’re more guided. she’s super considerate, if you ask her questions during tests/quizzes she’ll give clues (or even the answer) haha. reciting and doing the discussion boards merits plus points. echoing the nice tita vibes comment. she likes entertaining anyone’s questions and listening to any sort of input. and yeah, B+ with effort. get good groupmates and make sure to read!more

i love cruz-claudio! loved her lessons because it just felt like her telling stories 💛 parang tita na nagtsi-tsismis lang BWHAHAHAH she’s also quite a living version of elle woods because of her stacked experiences but also a fashionista (hindi ko pa rin gets hanggang ngayon kung paano siya hindi hulas after bel classes) as long as you listen to her lectures and read her ppts, you’ll do oki with her quizzes! we also had a podcast and paper for our class tho, but she’s open to consult naman I think she grades fairly high naman, it’s just that histo dept has higher grading range 💀 Also just by reciting in class, you’d get bonus points na! if i had any remaining histo classes left i’d take her again 🙏more

had her for histo 11 some test types were multiple choice, chronology, true or false, identification (with choices) ; i'd say most items are reasonable naman, but there would be always one or two items that are tricky and from less highlighted details in the readings also some essays too, which come from her discussion naman take advantage of bonus points (current events sometimes) and recitation ^^more

had her for second sem last year and at that time all her reqs were due on the last day of the quarter. it helps to think of a topic early and consult with ma'am about it. this is good practice for all profs and courses but it's especially relevant here since your papers will take up the majority of your grade. she's very open to consulations naman and replies to emails very quickly. the readings were interesting and i definitely learned a lot BUT most of the time ang haba talaga 😭 luckily her ppts are detailed so survivable if you just scan the readings she's generous with giving A grades as long as she can see that you put effort into ur work and that you incorporated the course materialsmore
