Avoid unless you will self-study every lesson and can absorb a midterm-heavy, draining term in exchange for bonus work and a large curve. I had Sir Zosa for Math 30.13 and 30.14 last year. He's a very chill prof; definitely gives off cool lolo vibes. I found his classes okay since he really takes his time in discussing the fundamentals. Though he sometimes skips a few parts that were discussed in precalculus. Either way, he allots a session or two (if time permits) for practice problems before moving to the next module. He grades participation points so make sure to recite a lot for him to know you as well. As for his exams, I'd say they're way more difficult than the problems he gives out in class. But they're manageable as long as you know your concepts from calc and precalc intuitively. Make sure to be very specific with your solutions and how you label them since he's quite nitpicky about that, and it's where you can earn most of your points (final answers are worth only 2 or 3 points). Overall, he isn't that bad as long as you listen carefully in class and review a lot. You really need to self-study rigorously, since his lectures alone aren't enough to get a high grade, given that, again, he only covers the easy stuff and not the harder problems. I'd recommend using the book listed in his syllabus and the past LTs from AMS since they helped me a lot. Definitely A-able with a lot of effort. He also curves 😉😉more

Hi OP, I had Sir Zosa for Math 30.13 and 30.14 last year. All I can say is he only teaches the fundamentals of the topics so expect that he only covers 1-2 very easy problems in class and really takes his time to discuss it down to the simplest equations. I think he really does expect you to take the basics you learned from him and figure out how to apply it in more complicated problems by yourself.
His exams are very difficult but they are heavily based on the concepts which he nitpicks talaga so you really have to be very specific with your solutions (even just labelling) as that is what will save you from failing I SWEAR! Also, at the start of the semester he will require a book PLEASE FIND A COPY! It doesn't matter if you get it online or buy the hardcopy -- that book will be your lifesaver. He gets questions there a lot of the times hehe.
You also should recite a lot. My mistake was not being pabibo enough in his class. Those recitation points would really boost your grades so please recite as much as you can.
I think he's chill. He can be very lolo and sometimes frustrating because you really need to study and learn by yourself a LOT. Get good friends and find all the reviewers you can find. USE THE BOOK !!!

Had Zosa last year my first semester. Best way to survive is to just study after every lesson by yourself, because I never understood a lesson when I just purely depended on his teaching. iirc he had 5 Quizzes, Midterms and Finals. He had a lot of bonus work for points and he curves a good amount. Just don’t expect much from him and it won’t be too bad. Good luck!more

Had him for a different math subject, but he was indeed pretty slow in discussing (even though it was intersession, where you would expect profs to discuss quicker). So, yeah, you may need to do some self-study in order to keep up. That said, I'd say he grades a bit more kindly than some other math profs. Good luck!more

just self study and use the textbook in the syllabus since the logic in his exams is based on that. exams arent hard as well imo. make sure that you leave a good impression too and dont sleep in his class. an A is doable as long as you dont slack off. definitely tiring to review and learn everything but again, the exams arent really hardmore
