that’s tough. push for an appeal only if you’re absolutely certain the prof made a major mistake in computing grades (i.e. forgot to input the grade for certain assessments, graded incorrectly in transfer of grades). you need hard evidence that the grade you got wasnt the grade you deserved. hard evidence is you having computed for it based on the syllabus. show there’s a clear mismatch between the grade you deserve and the one you got. advisory grades historically don’t mean anything because profs tend to rush that, others don’t take it seriously, others compute the grade of a singular assessment. ill be honest: this process extends beyond a mere feeling. grade appeals are a long process which require committee evaluations, and declarations that your professor made a big calculation mistake. it’s gonna take more than your advisory grade, you need a really good, really detailed explanation for grade appeals.more

got ma’am marj for bio 100.2 and she’s vv nice! don’t know what she’s like for lec but for lab, she presents slides (they’re added on canvas naman) and lab work is good bcs she helps us out. she can be a bit specific on what she wants for lab reports but as long as they’re followed it’s good. for our final oral exam she also offered us extra points that bumped up my b+ to an a ^^ hope this helps anon!more
