Take him if you want a clear, encouraging DISCS / MIS instructor who will help when asked and will also tell you when work is wrong. LOVE THIS GUY!! He's very quirky and has a lot knowledge on random things, but he's suuuper nice. He really takes the time to get to know his students (he literally knows EVERYONES names HAHA) and paces his lessons with his students' understanding. It's the type that if the whole class doesn't get the concept, he'll include it as a bonus on the test, or just not include it at all. Workload is heavy just because the subject is heavy af. I'm legit fkn mathematically challenged but he was able to explain it to me in ways that seemed easy!! He has a couple LT's (all of which he'll prepare u for. There won't be anything on the test that he hasn't discussed), some groupworks, a POM paper done by group, and a defense. He even lets u eat in class HAHAHA A+ guy. Easy B!more

I can’t even begin to explain what a wonderful prof Sir Barot is! I had him for POM104 and despite my hatred for numbers and math, he managed to get me to like the subject! POM’s very heavy on equations and numbers but always ensured that the whole class would understand the topic before he moves on to the next. He’d go with the pace of how the class is understanding the lesson and he would stop his lecture once in a while to allow our minds to rest. You can talk to him about anything even if it has no relation to your topic in class. Overall, I’d recommend him cause he’s such a patient and understanding prof who would often put his students first (and their mental health) above anything else.more

I highly recommend Sir Barot. Really encouraging & honest. Will help you out talaga when you ask questions, but will not hesitate to tell you if you've done something wrong with your outputs. He's very encouraging and friendly esp when he gets to know your classes better. He teaches and explains clearly. His tests can be challenging but he's super helpful if you're falling behind. He's kinda in demand lang.
Also take note if his class is Windows or Mac!! During my class a lot of people were Mac users but it was a Windows class so it was frustrating for him hahamore

Barot is the best. He teaches and explains clearly, and although his tests might be challenging, he's willing to give advice if you're struggling or falling behind. Plus, he's one of the nicest profs I've had.
also check if his classes are mac or windows, cuz itm classes usually are windows unless stated that it's for mac computers. it might be harder to catch up if you enlist in a class with a different required computermore

grading wise, you’ll definitely get what you work for. You give effort you’ll get C+-B+ maybe even an A if you impress him. Workload: he really makes sure to know how the class is doing. He won’t barrage you with too heavy a workload and usually is very approachable when it comes to difficult lessons. Yes you can pick your group mates.more

Sometimes, he gives bonuses to the first few people when it comes to inputting passwords for ZIP files (for our class, hints involved Game of Thrones and/or League of Legends).
Workload is bearable and is not too tedious imo
