best at his field!! he was my prof under the same subject during my freshie year and i would say that i really learned so much from him! as someone who's very (VERY) scared of math, i found him very helpful sa pag-teach ng lessons and he was indeed effective!! i remembered flunking the first LT and i asked for consultation for the second one (and i was able to bounce back and got an almost perfect score!!). he really was the best in this subject and GOATED fr. as per workload, we had three LTs and mga assessments per module. very much manageable naman and he's open to consultations kaya pls pls maximize this if u ever have a hard time comprehending the lessons. he also made us choose freely what app to use for computing (R or MS Excel) where we feel we are most comfortable with. and his LTs only cover what were really taught lang in class. teaching method naman is very effective din! he repeats a segment of the lesson if one of us asks for clarification and he also ensures that we understand each bit very well. biostat itself was very hard na as a subject but his teaching style made it understandable for me. he's also a PhD holder so he really REALLY knows his stuff well. grade-wise, A-able with effort!! again, i flunked the first test but managed to bounce back after consulting. really, really helpful talaga as someone na fear talaga ang math and computations. he also gives partial pts for solutions, so make sure you put everything sa paper (even those na u think are common sense). as he always reminds us, "everything on the paper pls". overall, sir jeric's a GOATED prof and you'll not regret taking him for biostat. just always ask if you have clarifications and he's very open to explain each unclear concept. overall 10/10!! goodluck,!more

As someone who never had coding experience, this class was the bane of my first sem experience. It wasn’t a prof issue, more so an issue of pacing for me as a first time coder. I genuinely thought I would fail this course but gladly, I didn’t thanks to Sir Jeric’s help. I consulted with him once (though I should have done this more) and it did help me understand the thought process behind creating codes. In LTs (which are departmental) he was also fairly generous with partial points so that was an advantage on my part since I felt like I was at the mercy of partial points. I would say though that he gives weekly quizzes and this was especially anxiety inducing since it was time bounded. Try not to get rattled and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE the problems in the workbook and you’ll be fine. Many of my classmates got good grades and I would say I ended up with a pretty good grade myself. If I survived this, you surely can. You got this!more

Took him during 1st sem last year. Great prof. Teaches well. Approachable. Just practice the problems in the ABC workbook and you’ll be fine. We had 3 LTs and 5 problem sets. I would say the LTs were average in terms of difficulty, but then again I had to study, code, and answer a lot of problems to master the fundamentals. Very A-able. (Also you have an advantage if you have a Windows laptop because the “checking” software used in the course only works on Windows lol)more

he’s really patient with explaining the lessons, and he gives additional examples/practice problems for you to see how well you understood the concepts. he gives partial points and replies right away in e-mails if you have questions/clarifications. would take him again if given the chance :>more

Like what Justin said up there, Lemy knows what he's talking about. He doesn't grade high like curving (not that I'm aware of), but he does give you ways to pull up your grade like homeworks and bonus papers.more
